ARENA
​

Parking

Good traffic flow in the arena is important for everyone coming and going to the event. As a parking attendant, the task is to direct those arriving by car to designated parking spaces and to ensure that cars do not park where they are not supposed to.

​

Access control

Access control involves scanning tickets and accreditation cards. Here you provide security and security for our performers, official guests, the public and volunteers at specified zones. Instructions will be given by the group leader.

​

Elevator

Ensure safety in accordance with disembarkation and boarding for jumpers and those who will take the lift.

​

Pool

Don't know what you want to work on or what suits you? Then you register here. You will be contacted by the civil service manager.

​

Public host

We need outgoing, welcoming and positive audience hosts. Here you ensure that our guests and the public are comfortable in our facility. You know where things are in the arena, can answer questions and look up answers if you don't know, pick up rubbish etc., make sure things are in order and that people have a good time.

​

Sandwich host

Ensure that the nations get the help and service they need at all times and that the grease stalls are clean and tidy.

​

SPORT

​

Blowers

Blowers ensure that the track is free of snow to avoid an uneven inrun, so that it is safe and fair for the athletes. It must be blown continuously when it is snowing during competition. Instructions are given by the group leader.

​

Hill crew

Pedals: Ensures a firm, level and safe run-off for the athletes to land and run on. This involves pedaling down the hill before the race starts, between laps and if something happens that requires it to be pedaled down before the race starts. Requirements for good skiing skills.

Hill crew: Ensures that the marking of the jumping hill is correct according to the regulations, and clearly visible to athletes, spectators and judges. It is important that the ground does not look unclean, and that spray paint is not laid out from the markings. The area of ​​responsibility also includes minimizing bumps and knocks.

Starter

As a starter, you are responsible for ensuring that the correct athlete sits on the barrier, as well as moving the barrier to the correct starting position according to instructions from race management.

​

Race office

At the race office, you ensure that you distribute and obtain start numbers, issue start lists and results lists to race management, FIS, nations and teams, the media, etc. Can also be expected to do secretarial tasks for the jury.

​

Equipment control/Exit gate

The task of this function is to move the skis from the test area to the start. FIS will carry out fluoride testing/equipment control in accordance with claim.

​

Anti-doping

Responsibility for arranging for Antidoping Norway and FIS, and ensures that the athletes who are selected for doping control are followed by the chaperones and otherwise follow the applicable guidelines.

​

Trial jumpers

Jumpers who carry out test jumping ahead of competitions and ready to jump at the jury's order. Must have FIS code.

​

Manual length gauge

Here you measure and enter manual length during all official jumping rounds.

​

Fluoride testing

Operate fluoride testing machines. Training will be provided.

​

Trail patrol

skiers. Go up the track ahead of the competition in case of snowfall. Requirements for good skiing skills.

​

Timekeeping

Backup timekeeping. Facilitating and helping swiss timing with up and down rigging.

​

Trail crew

Help the trail manager with preparing the trail. During competition, you operate as track guards where you make sure that the athletes go where they are supposed to.

​

Stadium crew

Prepare the stadium before official training and competition. Tasks will include rigging up and down, setting out ridge pans, helping at the start and at the finish line during the race, welcoming and showing the way into the mixed zone for interviews, etc.

BACK OFFICE

​

Event office

The event office is located at Scandic Lillehammer. Here, the tasks can be anything from registering and distributing rewards to volunteers, issuing accreditation, printing and hanging posters, setting up/dismantling the office, etc. Good computer skills are also a plus.

​

Oslo Airport, host

Do you want to be the first person that the nations and the officials meet on the way to WC Lillehammer? Here the task is to receive teams and officials at Gardermoen, guide them to the right place for transport and keep in touch with bus drivers and the transport office at the airport.

​

Drivers

Are you fond of driving and safe in traffic? We need drivers to transport people and equipment between the station, arena and hotel + possibly other small tasks.

​

Press

Help and contribute at the press centre. Instructions are given by the group leader.

​

CATERING

​

Judge's Tower

Serving in the referee's tower. Receive hot/cold food from the supplier. Serve food and drink, and take care to clear tables, chairs, rubbish etc. so that it looks clean and tidy at all times.

​

Volunteer tent

Serving in a volunteer tent. Receive hot/cold food from the supplier. Serve food and drink, and take care to clear tables, chairs, rubbish etc. so that it looks clean and tidy at all times.

​

Jumping tower

Serving in the jumping tower. Receive hot/cold food from the supplier. Serve food and drink, and take care to clear tables, chairs and rubbish

​

Coffee

Make coffee and drive out to the various places. Dialogue with group leader.

​

RIG

​

NRK

Help NRK with various tasks for the best possible TV production. This could be following the cameraman with cables during filming/moving, reporting mail to NRK and anything else that is needed for them to do their job.

​

FIS M+M

Assist FIS M&M (Media & Marketing) with rigging of advertising material etc.
